Be the person you'd want to meet
- Use your real name and recent photos of yourself.
- Write your own profile — no ghostwriters, no bots, no impersonation.
- Take conversations at a pace that's comfortable for the other person.
Do not, ever
- Harass, insult, threaten or intimidate another member.
- Send sexual images or sexual messages to anyone who hasn't clearly asked for them. Sexual content involving anyone under 18 is a hard line and results in immediate removal and referral to authorities.
- Ask other members for money, gifts, cryptocurrency, or financial details. This is the single biggest source of harm on dating apps — see Safety Centre.
- Discriminate on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious illness.
- Post or share other people's private information without their consent.
- Advertise, promote or recruit for any product, service, cause, cult or platform.
Photos and reveals
- Only upload photos of yourself, taken recently. No group photos where you can't be identified. No filters that materially change how you look.
- Never share images of anyone else without their explicit consent.
- The photo reveal happens after both people agree in the conversation. Screenshotting revealed photos to share elsewhere is not allowed.
AI features
Unfiltered offers AI-assisted messaging and practice conversations to help you communicate well. AI suggestions are a starting point — the words you send should still be your own. Practising with an AI persona doesn't replace showing up honestly with real people.
What happens if you break the rules
We take safety seriously. Depending on the situation we may remove content, warn you, suspend your account, permanently ban you, and where appropriate report you to law enforcement. Bans apply to the person, not just the account.
Report anything that feels wrong
You can report a profile or a conversation from the menu in the top right of any profile or chat. Reports are confidential — we don't tell the other person you reported them.
